278-22 October 25, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Township’s Department of Public Works and Engineering Division requested proposals for professional land surveying services from five firms and only Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., 96 US Highway 206, Suite 101, Flanders, NJ 07836 responded to the request on June 13, 2022, in the amount of $16,250.00; and WHEREAS, the expenditure for this work under this contract was below the $17,500.00 threshold for professional services in accordance with N.J.S.A 19:44-20.14 (as amended by P.L. 2005, Ch. 51); and WHEREAS, supplemental funds are needed to prepare additional cross section data need it for use in the hydraulic and hydrologic analysis; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer by letter dated October 17, 2022 recommends additional funding in the amount of $2,500.00 to complete the work; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for this additional work; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that additional expenditure for professional services contract Tributary to Wigwam Brook Additional Services with Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., 96 US Highway 206, Suite 101, Flanders, NJ 07836 in the amount of $2,500.00 increase in the original contract amount in accordance with their proposal dated October 7, 2022 is hereby approved bringing the adjusted contract amount to $18,750.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Municipal Engineer is authorized to execute the additional expenditure on behalf of the Township of West Orange.
