281-22 October 25, 2022 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes Professional Engineering Services for the 2022 Street Improvements Phase I; and WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposals dated September 27, 2022 for these professional design services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited a proposal from four professional engineering and land surveying firms; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc., responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc. have performed similar work for the Township on several projects and their work quality is very good; and WHEREAS, by letter dated October 18, 2022 the Township Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to, Greenman-Pederson, Inc., 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 for Professional Land Engineering Services associated with 2022 Street Improvements Phase I; and WHEREAS, Greenman-Pederson, Inc. responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2022; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of Greenman- Pederson, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to Greenman-Pederson, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for 2022 Street Improvements Phase I in the amount of $17,430.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within ten (10) days of its approval as required by State Statute. Karen J. Carnevale, R.M.C.
