10-23 January 10, 2023 R E S O L U T I O N RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, County of Essex, State of New Jersey, that the EMERGENCY AND NON EMERGENCY TREE SERVICES in the Township of West Orange, in accordance with the specifications filed in the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works, dated October 2022, approved by the Township Council, pursuant to an advertisement duly authorized therefore, be and the same are hereby awarded to the below named bidders for a one (1) year period with an option for an additional two (2) one (1) year periods: DOWNES TREE SERVICE CO., INC. 65 ROYAL AVENUE HAWTHORNE, N.J. 07970 As the lowest responsible bidder RICH TREE SERVICE, INC. 325 BERGEN STREET SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. 07080 As the second lowest bidder who submitted the only responsive bids. Attached is a summary spread sheet with each bidders’ prices. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this award is subject to the 2023 Budget Appropriation for contractual tree services and that the authorization to perform the work specified is contingent upon the execution of a valid purchase order between the Township and the vendor(s) prior to the commencement of the work. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this contract includes two option years for 2024 and 2025. Karen J.
