15-23 January 10, 2023 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township as part of the Redevelopment along Executive Drive and Rooney Circle acquired the office building and land known as 10 Rooney Circle; and WHEREAS, a portion of this building will be used as the new West Orange Public Library; and WHEREAS, the Township’s architect, Arcari Iovino of Little Ferry, NJ the Township’s contractor for this project, H&S Construction and Mechanical Inc. of Elizabeth, NJ needs to perform additional electrical work for light switches in five (5) rooms; and WHEREAS, there needs to be upgrades for breakers and wiring; and WHEREAS, H&S Construction and Mechanical, Inc., of Elizabeth, NJ, submitted Change Order No. 10 in the amount of $2,129.78 dated December 22, 2022 to perform additional electrical work; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 10 is acceptable to Arcari Iovino Architects, P.C., Little Ferry, NJ as well as the Municipal Engineer; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for these Change Orders; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that Change Order No. 10 in the amount of $2,129.78 be approved, and with Change Order No. 1 of $6,946.54, Change Order No. 2 of $25,366.66 and Change Order No. 3 of $14,013.60, Change Order No. 4 of $8,245.39, Change Order No 5 of $8,800.01, Change Order No. 6 of $13,933.89, Change Order No. 7 $1,735.04, Change Order No. 8 of $6,811.93, Change Order No. 9 $17,422.45 represents a 2.08 percent increase in the original contract amount of $5,075,000.00 bringing the adjusted contract amount to $5,180,405.29. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Business Administrator John O. Gross is authorized to execute the Change Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange. Karen J.
