18-23 January 10, 2023 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Honorable Susan McCartney was elected Mayor by the voters of the Township of West Orange on November 8, 2022; and WHEREAS, NJSA 40:69A-43(b) specifies that the Mayor shall appoint, with the advice and consent of the Council, Directors for each department, to serve during the term of office of the mayor appointing him/her and all other municipal officers unless a different appointment procedure is clearly required by this plan of government or by general law; and WHEREAS, the following appointments have been made and/or approved by the Honorable Mayor McCartney upon being sworn in as the Mayor of West Orange: John O. Gross Business Administrator & Chief Financial Officer James P. Abbott Director of Staff Operations & Chief of the Police Department Anthony A. Vecchio Chief of the Fire Department Leonard R. Lepore Director of the Department of Public Works & Engineer William Kehoe Director of the Department of Recreation Michael A. Fonzino Director of the Department of Health Geniece Gary-Adams Director of Planning and Development Richard D. Trenk Director of the Department of Law Peter F.
