34-24 January 9, 2024 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange requires Engineering, Land Surveying and Bid Phase Services for the Main Street Corridor Crosswalks and Sidewalk Improvements; and WHEREAS, the Township requires the services of a Professional Engineering Firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited a proposal from five Professional Engineering firms; and WHEREAS, CME Associates, responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, CME Associates, have performed similar work for the Township on several projects and their work quality is very good; and WHEREAS, by letter dated January 3, 2024 the Township Assistant Municipal Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to CME Associates, 1460, Route 9 South, Howell, NJ 07731 for Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with the Main Street Corridor Crosswalks and sidewalks Improvements project; and WHEREAS, CME Associates responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2024; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal for the Main Street Corridor Crosswalks and sidewalks Improvements; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to CME Associates, 1460, Route 9 South, Howell, NJ 07731 to provide professional engineering and land surveying services for the Main Street Corridor Crosswalks and sidewalks Improvements project for an amount not to exceed $75,000.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within ten (10) days of its approval as required by State Statute.
