86-24 March 12, 2024 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) NEW MYERS WG50 GRINDER PUMPS THROUGH THE NORTH JERSEY WASTEWATER COOPERATIVE CO-OPERATIVE CONTRACT # B369-7 WHEREAS, The Township of West Orange (“Township”) and its Department of Public Works need to purchase two (2) New Myers WG50 Grinder Pumps; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision made in the Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(2) the Township as a Local Government Unit, may without public advertising for goods or services enter into contracts already secured by the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, County or Municipality; and WHEREAS, consistent with the North Jersey Wastewater Cooperative Purchasing Contract and the needs of the Township, Rapid Pump and Meter Service Co. Inc., 285 Straight Street, Paterson, NJ 07509 provided a proposal, see “Exhibit A” attached hereto for cost detail. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the West Orange Township Council that the Contract for purchasing two (2) New Myers WG50 Grinder Pumps, discharge bases, stainless steel rails, two (2) four-inch (4”) gate valves and check valves, PVC stilling well and transducer and stainless-steel float bracket and floats be awarded to Rapid Pump and Meter Service Co. Inc., 285 Straight Street, Paterson, NJ 07509 in accordance with their proposal dated February 9, 2024 in an amount not to exceed $250,950.00 for improvements at the Township’s Dogwood Pump Station. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Township issue and execute Purchase Order for the amount awarded with funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer.
