91-24 March 12, 2024 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes 2024 NJDOT Municipal Aid (MA) Grant Project for Morris Road, Sussex Road and Hunterdon Road (from Warren Road to Westover Terrace) and; WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering firm and land surveying firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposals dated January 29, 2024 for these professional design services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited proposals form six professional engineering and land surveying firms: and WHEREAS, Neglia Engineering Associates responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, by letter dated March 4, 2024, the Municipal Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to Neglia Engineering Associates, 34 Park Avenue, Lyndhurst, New Jersey for Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Services associated with 2024 NJDOT Municipal Aid Grant Project for Morris Road, Sussex Road, and Hunterdon Road (from Warren Road to Westover Terrace); and WHEREAS, Neglia Engineering Associates responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2024; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of Neglia Engineering Associates; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to Neglia Engineering Associates to provide engineering services for 2024 NJDOT Municipal Aid Morris Road, Sussex Road, and Hunterdon Road (from Warren Road to Westover Terrace) in the amount not to exceed $25,700.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be published in the West Orange Chronicle within ten (10) days of its approval as required by State Statute. Karen J. Carnevale, R.M.C.
