92-24 March 12, 2024 RESOLUTION To Authorize the Purchase of Body Armor for the West Orange Police Department through a State Contract. WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange as a contracting unit may, without advertising for bids, purchase any materials, supplies or equipment under any contract or contracts for such materials, supplies or equipment entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of the Treasury pursuant to the provision of N.J.S.A. 40A: ll-12, and WHEREAS, the West Orange Police Department is in need to replace expiring Body Armor, and WHEREAS, the Atlantic Uniform with an address of 468 Washington Avenue, Belleville, NJ 07109 an authorized distributor Amour Express has priced 27 Armor Express Model Vortex IIIA Bravo ballistic panels with one Navy Revolution concealable carrier and 5x8 Ara-Shock SA FE Plate in accordance with the State Contract #17- FLEET-00763 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to acquire Body Armor in the amount not to exceed $27,990.90 from Atlantic Uniform with funds certified available from the Chief Financial Officer.
