118-24 April 9, 2024 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange (“Township”) wishes to retain Garden State Laboratories, Inc. (“Garden State”) to provide for public health testing services for a one year period beginning January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024; and WHEREAS, Garden State and the Township have negotiated an agreement, annexed hereto as Exhibit “A” (the “Agreement”) wherein Garden State agrees to perform tests and provide supplies for the Township that conform with the methods promulgated by the State of New Jersey, Department of Health and/or the American Public Health Association and/or the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists, and conform with the requirement of all applicable laws and regulations to the satisfaction of the Township’s Public Health Officer; and WHEREAS, Garden State has provided the above-mentioned services to the Township in the past to the satisfaction of the Township’s Public Health Officer; and WHEREAS, Garden State has agreed to indemnify and hold harmless the Township from and against any losses, claims, or expenses which may arising in connection with this contract; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, Garden State has agreed to provide the required services to the Township at a total cost of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), to be paid in half yearly installments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement with Garden State annexed hereto as Exhibit “A,” and the Municipal Clerk be and is hereby authorized to attest to the Mayor’s signature thereon; and be it further

RESOLVED that notice of this award shall be available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with any applicable law.
