131-24 April 9, 2024 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Chapter 14, Section 11.1 of the Township Code for the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) requires the Township to employ a Planning Director with respect to various land use and related issues, including the enforcement of Chapters 14 and 25 of the Township Code (“Planning Director Services”); and WHEREAS, on January 9, 2024, the Township Council adopted Resolution #12-24 authorizing the award of a contract to Planning & Real Estate firm of Phillips, Preiss, Grygiel, Leheny, Hughes, LLC, of Hoboken, NJ (the “Phillips Firm”) for Planning Director Services including Paul Grygiel, AICP, PP’s continued service with respect to the Township’s Planning Department ; and WHEREAS, Resolution #12-24 was adopted subject to an amendment limiting the term of the contract for Planning Director Services until April 10, 2024; and WHEREAS, the Township still requires Planning Director Services beyond April 10, 2024. NOW, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the Contract with the Phillips Firm be and hereby is extended until May 31, 2024; and it is further RESOLVED that Resolution #12-24 be and hereby is amended to reflect this extension of the Agreement until May 31, 2024; and RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be made available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with applicable law.
