2873-24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 7, TRAFFIC, SUBSECTION 7-14.2A PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING CERTAIN HOURS OF CERTAIN DAYS OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, in the County of Essex, State of New Jersey as follows: Section 1. Subsection 7-14.2A PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING CERTAIN HOURS OF CERTAIN DAYS, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows: (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): Name of Street Side Hours Days Location Oakridge Road Both 8:00AM-10:00AM School Days from Mitchell Street to Wellington Avenue Oakridge Road Both 8:00AM-10:00AM School Days from Mitchell Street to southerly Dead End. Colony Drive West Both 8:00AM-10:00AM School Days from Colony Drive East to Brook Drive Section 2. If any provisions of this Ordinance or application thereof, under any circumstances, is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect any of the provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the valid provision(s) or application and to this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are severable.

2873-24 LEGISLATIVE HISTORY This Ordinance will extend the 8AM-10AM No Parking Zone on Oakridge Road to the southerly Dead End, and create a new 8AM-10AM No Parking Zone on Colony Drive West to discourage all day parking by Seton Hall Prep students as they arrive for their school day, and allow parking at other times for the residents. This change was recommended by the Traffic Division of WOPD.
