2880-24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 7, TRAFFIC, SUBSECTIONS 7-7.3 TEMPORARY PARKING PROHIBITION FOR SNOW PLOWING AND REMOVAL, 7-14.1c NIGHT PARKING RESTRICTED, AND 7-12 PARKING PROHIBITED FOR STREET CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, in the County of Essex, State of New Jersey as follows: Section 1. Subsection 7-7.3 Temporary Parking Prohibition for Snow Plowing and Removal, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows: (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): Name of Street Side Days Location Oxford Terrace West All Entire Length Section 2. Subsection 7-14.1c Night Parking Restricted, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows: (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): EXCEPTIONS Name of Street Side Location Oxford Terrace Both Entire Length Section 3. Subsection 7-12 Parking Prohibited for Street Cleaning and Maintenance, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows: (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): Name of Street Sides Hours and Days Location Oxford Terrace East Mondays 9AM-12PM Entire Length Oxford Terrace West Thursdays 9AM-12PM Entire Length Section 4. If any provisions of this Ordinance or application thereof, under any circumstances, is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect any of the provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the valid provision(s) or application and to this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are severable.

2880-24 LEGISLATIVE HISTORY This Ordinance creates an opportunity for overnight parking on Oxford Terrace, where residents need on-street parking in addition to their private driveways. In addition, the ordinance requires the residents to move those vehicles as needed for the purpose of snow plowing, street sweeping and other maintenance at certain times.
