9-25 January 28, 2025 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE AND FAMILY CONNECTIONS/ ADAPT YOUTH LEADERSHIP COALITION WHEREAS, the Township received a grant from the Division of Mental Health and Addition Services (“DHMAS”) for funding for a youth leadership program; and WHEREAS, Family Connections/ADAPT Youth Leadership Program (“ADAPT”) shall provide services including start-up support to West Orange High School counselors to train West Orange High School Peer Leaders, provide information to the student community regarding the consequences of underage drinking, marijuana use, and wellness/healthy living strategies; and WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) memorializing the services to be performed by Family Connections/ADAPT and the terms thereof are annexed hereto as Exhibit “A;” NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township be authorized to enter into the MOU annexed hereto as Exhibit “A;” and be it further RESOLVED that the Township Clerk be and is hereby authorized to execute the MOU on behalf of the Mayor; and be it further RESOLVED that notice of this resolution shall be available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with any applicable law.
