34-25 January 28, 2025 DISPOSAL OF EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange wishes to dispose of an obsolete mail machine that is no longer needed for public use which has surpass its useful life expectancy. WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-36 authorizes the disposition of personal property not needed for public use without public sale when the fair value of the property is less than $6600.00 (15 percent of the bid threshold); and WHEREAS, the equipment set forth below has a value of less than $6600.00; and Pitney Bowes Send Pro Connect + 2000 Serial number 6013148 WHEREAS, the equipment has been replaced with what was required by the US Postal Service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Township of West Orange, in the County of Essex, New Jersey that the obsolete equipment referenced by the Fire Official which is no longer needed for public use by the Township shall be disposed of according to the manner as prescribed by law.
