97-25 March 11, 2025 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSAL FROM MATRIX NEW WORLD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AT 10 CENTRAL AVENUE (BIDDLEMAN, INC.), 18 CENTRAL AVENUE (SELECTO-FLASH), AND 55 LAKESIDE AVENUE (BARTON PRESS) WHEREAS, on March 3, 2025, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) received a proposal from Matrix New World Engineering, Land Surveying, and Landscape Architecture, P.C. (“Matrix”) to perform environmental services at 10 Central Avenue (Block 9 Lot 32 formerly Biddleman), 18 Central Avenue (Block 9 Lot 36 formerly Selecto-Flash) and 55 Lakeside Avenue (Block 155 Lots 15 & 17 formerly Barton Press), all Township redevelopment properties ; and WHEREAS, the Township desires to conduct oversight of the groundwater sampling performed by HDR, Inc., contracted for this work by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at these locations that are part of the Orange Valley Regional Groundwater Contamination Superfund Site; and WHEREAS, Matrix is qualified to do this work and has responsibly performed environmental services for the Township on other projects, NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the Township accepts the proposal from Matrix attached herein as Exhibit “A,” not to exceed $9,300.00 to complete the scope of work; AND FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be made available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with applicable law.
