101-25 March 25, 2025 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROPOSAL FROM MATRIX NEW WORLD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AT 4 TOMPKINS STREET (VACANT LOT) NTE: $33,700.00 WHEREAS, on April 23, 2024, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) received a revised proposal from Matrix New World Engineering, Land Surveying, and Landscape Architecture, P.C. (“Matrix”) to perform environmental services at 4 Tompkins Street; and WHEREAS, the Township desires to remove and close an unregulated heating oil tank discovered on the Township-owned property, and conduct soil sampling on the site; and WHEREAS, Matrix is qualified to do this work and has responsibly performed environmental services for the Township on other projects, NOW, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the Township accepts the proposal from Matrix attached herein as Exhibit “A,” not to exceed $33,700.00 to complete the scope of work; AND FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be made available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with applicable law.
