1 106-25 March 25, 2025 RESOLUTION ADJUSTING RATES FOR EXTRA DUTY SERVICES RELATED TO WEST ORANGE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, on March 25, 2025, the Township Council for the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) adopted Ordinance 2902-25 (the “Ordinance”); and WHEREAS, the Ordinance requires that the fees for extra duty assignments for police officers will be set by Resolution; and WHEREAS, Resolution 298-23 sets forth the fees and/or fines associated with various ordinances in the Township of West Orange Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, this Resolution shall override Resolution 298-23 with respect to the fees set forth Chapter 4, Section 34.3, only; and NOW, BEING HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, that the fees associated with the Ordinance shall be as follows: Section of Ordinance/Township Code Administration Fee per Hour Hourly Rate § 34.3(a)(1) (Steady Security/Crowd Control Assignments) $4 $80 § 34.3(a)(2) (Special Event Security and Holiday/Crowd Control Assignments) $4 $80 § 34.3(a)(4)(a) (Weekday traffic/road construction) $15 $100 § 34.3(a)(4)(b) (weekend traffic/road construction) $15 $115 § 34.3(a)(4)(c) (road construction requiring use of vehicle) $15 and $25 per hour if a police vehicle is needed $100 § 34.3(a)(4)(d) (emergency road work assignments) $15 and $25 per hour if a police vehicle is needed $115
