200-25 September 8, 2025 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 5, Article 5, Section 32.2 of the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) municipal code, all towing operators who wish to engage in towing services and/or storage services for automobiles are required to obtain a written license from the Township; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 5, Article 5, Section 32.5, subsection (d) of the Township municipal code, all licenses shall be for a period of three (3) years to expire on June 30; and WHEREAS, on June 26, 2025, the Township advertised in the Star Ledger that it was accepting applications for the issuance of towing licenses; and WHEREAS, on July 15, 2025, the Township received three (3) applications for towing licenses, including applications from: 1. C & L Towing 38 Deforest Avenue East Hanover, NJ 07936 with a proposed storage location at 517 Prospect Street, East Hanover, NJ 07019 2. Twin Towing 1 Lakeside Avenue West Orange, NJ 07052 with a proposed storage location at 1 Lakeside Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052; and 3. Ajaco Towing 1029 Edwards Road Parsippany, NJ 07054 with a proposed storage location at 16 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, NJ 07044; and

2 WHEREAS, the West Orange Police Department performed investigations pursuant to Chapter 5, Article 5, Section 32.4 of the Township municipal code and issued reports recommending the award of license to all three (3) applicants, annexed hereto as Exhibits “A;” “B;” “C;” and NOW, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE that towing licenses for the time period from October 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028 be and hereby is awarded to: (i) C&L Towing; (ii) Twin Towing; and (iii) Ajaco Towing; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Municipal Clerk shall cause a copy of this award to be published in accordance with applicable law; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Municipal Clerk’s Office shall maintain a copy of this resolution in its records.
