Ordinances on Second and Final Reading a. 2949-26 An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Chapter 7, Traffic, Article 2 Subsection 7-37.1 Regulation for the Movement and Parking on Municipal and Board of Education Property of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange (Carballo) This Ordinance amends Chapter 7-37.1, the Regulation for the Movement and Parking of Traffic on Municipal and Board of Education Property, to add new sections to the ordinance regulating overnight parking by residents in Non-Metered or
1, the Regulation for the Movement and Parking of Traffic on Municipal and Board of Education Property, to add new sections to the ordinance regulating overnight parking by residents in Non-Metered or Non-Permitted Municipal Properties. Additionally, this ordinance will prohibit parking when snow covered, to facilitate plowing operations. Specifically, this amendment targets use of the Township’s Dog Park parking lot but can be tailored for future regulation of additional Municipal Properties. b. 2950-24 An Ordinance Amending and Supplementing Chapter 7, Traffic, Subsection 7-32.2 Restricted Parking Zones of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange
(Carballo) A Restricted Parking Stall will be established in front of 148 Chestnut Street for the exclusive use of the resident who is in possession of a NJMVC Disability ID and Parking Placard. This Stall was requested by the resident and is permissible under NJ Statutes Annotated (N.J.S.A.) 39:4-197.7. Parking is permitted in the restricted parking zone except when prohibited by other sections of Chapter 7 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange. Additionally, a Restricted Parking Stall at 160 South Valley Road will be eliminated at the request of the family of the permittee as it is no longer needed. c. 2951-26 MOTION FAILED on First Reading (1.20.26) d. 2952-26 Capital Ordinance Providing For The Cost Of Preliminary Engineering Expenses In Connection With The Gregory Avenue And Lowell Avenue Safe Routes To School Project, By And In The Township Of West Orange, In The County Of Essex, State Of New Jersey; Appropriating $387,047.59 Therefor To Pay For The Cost Thereof (Which Amount Will Be Funded By A Grant In The Amount Of $387,047.59 Received Or Expected To Be Received From The New Jersey Department Of Transportation) (Ditinyak) 9.
