176-26 July 7, 2026 FOR PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTER PPE GEAR UNDER NJ STATE CONTRACT #T0790 WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange Fire Department has five new probationary firefighters that shall supply PPE gear to, and also to replace existing employee’s PPE gear which is damaged or worn equipment; and WHEREAS, the State Contract authorized dealer can supply the Township with all the Fire Departments requirements under its state contract #T0790 for Firefighter Protective Clothing, Equipment and Supplies; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-12, a Contracting Unit may, without advertising for bids, purchase any materials, supplies or equipment under any contract or contracts for such materials, supplies or equipment entered into on behalf of the State by the Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of the Treasury. NOW BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange hereby authorizes the purchase of Firefighter PPE from Firefighter One, 34 Wilson Drive, Sparta, NJ 07871 an authorized dealer for the above contract in the amount of not to exceed $58,276.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange that this resolution together with a property executed purchase order shall constitute an agreement between the Township and Firefighter One subject to all conditions applicable to the current State Contract.
