Special Public Meeting— January 21, 2026 The Special Public meeting began at 4:09 p.m., the Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The notice for this meeting was emailed to the West Orange Chronicle and the Star Ledger on January 9, 2026 Roll Call — Councilman Krakoviak, Councilwoman Williams and Council President Scarpa Councilwoman Rudin arrived after roll call. Councilwoman Casalino was in route. Pledge of Allegiance Public Comment There was no one else who wished to be heard, and the public comment portion of the agenda was closed. Resolution(s) Removed from Consent Agenda 31-26 Resolution Authorizing an Executive Session for the purpose of discussing matters falling within the attorney-client privilege, to the extent that confidentiality is required in order for the attorney to exercise his ethical duties to this body; and for the discussion of matters which, by express provision of federal law, state statute, or rule of court, are required to be rendered confidential, specifically including: Affordable Housing; Redevelopment of 25 Lakeside Avenue and 55 Lakeside Avenue; and any additional matters of attorney-client privileged information that may arise during discussion. On motion made by Councilwoman Williams and seconded by Council President Scarpa, the above referenced resolution was approved. All members present voting “Aye.” On motion made by Councilwoman Williams and seconded by Councilman Krakoviak, the Council recessed their public meeting and entered into an executive session. All members present voting “Aye.” At 6:59 p.m., the Council resumed their public meeting. On motion made by Councilwoman Williams and seconded by Councilman Krakoviak, the Public meeting was adjourned.
