2876-24 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 7, TRAFFIC, SUBSECTION 7-14.6 WINTER PARKING RESTRICTIONS, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, in the County of Essex, State of New Jersey as follows: Section 1. Subsection 7-14.6, Winter Parking Restrictions, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows: (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): Name of Street Side Location Oxford Terrace East Entire Length Section 2. If any provisions of this Ordinance or application thereof, under any circumstances, is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect any of the provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the valid provision(s) or application and to this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are severable. 2876-24 LEGISLATIVE HISTORY This Ordinance will delete the present ban on parking on the east side of Oxford Terrace during the period from November 15th and April 15th. This change was requested by residents and approved by the Police Chief and Municipal Engineer. This change aligns the parking regulations on Oxford Terrace with all the other streets in the neighborhood, which ban overnight parking between 2AM-5AM.

2879-24 Formatted: Right AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 17.1 OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE (ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONs - Preparation) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE, NEW JERSEY that Chapter 3 of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange be and are hereby amended as follows: I. PURPOSE The purpose of this ordinance is to require that ordinances which revise or amend provisions of the West Orange Municipal Code be drafted in a manner to show the changes being made to the Code under the Ordinance. II. CHAPTER 3, SECTION 17.1 SHALL BE AND HEREBY IS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED TO INCORPORATE THE FOLLOWING: 3-17.1 Preparation. Ordinances and resolutions shall be prepared for the consideration of Township Council by the Township Attorney or the legal assistant upon motion of the Council or request of the Mayor. Prior to introduction, each proposed ordinance requiring or permitting administrative action shall be submitted to the Business Administrator and the department head concerned. Ordinance which revise or amend provisions of the West Orange Municipal Code shall be drafted in a manner showing the revisions or amendments being made to the Code. III. REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES Any Ordinances of the Township which are in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. IV. SEVERABILITY If any part of this Ordinance shall be deemed invalid, such parts shall be severed and the invalidity thereof shall not affect the remaining parts of this Ordinance.

753-24 October 29, 2024 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, JJS1, LLC t/a Main Street Liquors, 56 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052 is the holder of Plenary Retail Distribution License No. 0722-44-001-006; and WHEREAS, El Patio Liquor Store, LLC t/a El Patio Liquor Store has made an application for a Person-to-Person Transfer for the above-mentioned license; and WHEREAS, the principal has been investigated by the Township Police Department with no impediments to an interest in an alcoholic beverage license; and WHEREAS, due notice of the proposed transfer was published in the West Orange Chronicle on August 28, 2024 and September 4, 2024, appropriate fees have been paid by the applicant, and tax clearance for the transfer has been received; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on October 29, 2024 and no one appeared in opposition thereto; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Township Council of the Township of West Orange hereby authorizes the Person-to-Person Transfer of Plenary Retail Distribution License No. 0722-44-001-006, from JJS1, LLC t/a Main Street Liquors to El Patio Liquor Store, LLC t/a El Patio Liquor Store, 56 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052 and is hereby approved. ______________________________________ Karen J.
