| | | | | | 260-24 September 10, 2024 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange has advertised for bids, pursuant to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A 40A: 11-1), for the Korwell Pump Station Decommission Project; and WHEREAS, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Township of West Orange (the “Township”) issued bid specifications for the Contract for the Korwell Pump Station Decommission Project (the “Contract”) involving building a new sewer connection to Northfield Avenue and demolition, and removal of the former pump station site; and WHEREAS, on Thursday August 22, 2024, the Township received three (3) bids in response to the bid specifications; and WHEREAS, Grabowski Construction, Inc. (Grabowski) submitted the lowest of the three bids at $184,547.00; and WHEREAS, Grabowski has done quality work for the Township in the past. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute the Contract with Grabowski Construction, Inc. for the Korwell Pump Station Decommission Project pursuant to the rates set forth in Grebowski’s bid submission and the terms and conditions set forth in the bid specifications issued; and that the contract be awarded to: GRABOWSKI CONSTRUCTION, INC, 770 NORTHFIELD AVENUE WEST ORANGE, N.J. 07052 in an amount not to exceed without authorization of $184,547.00 and be it further ~ “RESOLVED ‘that a copy of this resolution shall be available in the Clerk’s office in accordance with applicable law.

The summary of the three bids is attached. The lowest responsible bidder is Grabowski Construction Inc., 770 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, New Jersey who submitted a bid of $184,547.00. Grabowski Construction Inc., performed similar work for West Orange, and their work is very good. 246-25 November 12, 2025 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Arco/Murray National Holdings, Inc., the developer of Trojan Storage, 955 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052, Block 172.02, Lot 8.01; and WHEREAS, Arco/Murray National Holdings, Inc. pursuant to their Zoning Board approval posted a performance bond with the Township of West Orange in the amount of $10,150.08 to guarantee the completion of off-site improvements which is permitted by the Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL), N.J.S.A. 40:55D-53a.(1); and WHEREAS, by letter dated September 5, 2025 Ryan MacNeill, P.E., CME Associates, Inc., recommends the release of the performance bond to reflect the completion of all site inspections; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer reviewed the letter of Ryan MacNeill, P.E., and concurs with its findings and recommendations to release the performance bond posted by Green Essex Partners Urban Renewal Entity, LLC subject to the posting of a maintenance bond for a three-year period in the amount of $8,301.00; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing.
