126-11 May 31, 2011 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange and A & J Contractor’s Group, Inc., a New Jersey Corporation having its principal place of business at 105 Federal Road, Monroe Township, New Jersey 08831 have heretofore entered into a contract designated as the Byrne Road Roadway Improvements in the amount of $159,743.92. WHEREAS, A & J Contractor’s Group, Inc., the Contractor, and the Township Engineer of the Township of West Orange have recommended the following Change Order from said contract as being necessary and beneficial: CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 & FINAL to reflect the measured as-built quantities for this project as shown on the attached Change Order; and WHEREAS, this Change Order represents a decrease in the amount of $21,181.54 or a 13.36 decrease in the original contract amount; and WHEREAS, there are no additional funds needed for this Change Order; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of West Orange that Change Order No. 1 & Final so described as $21,181.54 or a 13.26% decrease in the amount of the original contract heretofore made by the Township of West Orange with A & J Contractor’s Group, Inc. for the Byrne Road Roadway Improvements be and is hereby approved and the Township Council further authorizes Leonard R. Lepore, Municipal Engineer, to execute said Change Order. Karen J. Carnevale Sal M.
