1 Conference Meeting – August 15, 2017 The Township Council of the Township of West Orange met in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey at 6:33 p.m., Fatima Baez-Aguilar, Municipal Clerk’s Office Assistant read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on November 28, 2016 and published in the West Orange Chronicle on December 8, 2016. Roll Call: Present: Councilwoman Casalino, Councilman Cirilo, Councilman Guarino, Councilwoman McCartney, Council President Krakoviak, Mayor Parisi. Robert Williams, Esq., attorney representing Bliss Hospitality, LLC presented details with regard to a Person to Person transfer of liquor license 0722-33-055-008, 104 Harrison Avenue. The Council recognized the West Orange PAL 18U Travel Baseball Team-High School Development League, Essex County Silver Tourney Champions. A presentation was made by Jerry Eben, F.A.I.A., P.P. and Member of the West Orange Planning Board with regard to enhancing and updating the MLUL (Municipal Land Use Law). Theresa DeNova, Health Officer presented the Senior Citizen Survey which is being sponsored by Montclair State University. Mr. Sayers gave an update on the progress of Phase I of the Redevelopment Project on Main Street. John Gross gave an update on the Best Practices Survey.
