1 Conference Meeting – September 10, 2019 The Township Council of the Township of West Orange met in the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey at 6:34 p.m., Karen Carnevale, Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The annual notice was emailed to the Star Ledger and filed in the Township Clerk’s office on September 26, 2018 and published in the West Orange Chronicle on October 4, 2018. Roll Call: Councilwoman Casalino, Councilman Krakoviak, Councilwoman Matute-Brown, Councilwoman McCartney and Council President Guarino. A presentation was made by Bronna Lipton, Executive Director of Second Chance Toys. Andy Lewis, N.J. American Water Senior Director of Operations, North Division and Scott Brezinski, Manager, Water Quality and Environmental Compliance presented a check in the amount of $8,500. for the N.J. American Water Environmental Grant to Nick Salese on behalf of the Township. A proclamation was presented to Tammy Williams, the founder of the West Orange Stop Suicide Advocacy Coalition for National Suicide Prevention Week, September 8 – 14, 2019 and World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10, 2019 by Council President Guarino. The Council gave their liaison announcements.
