09/27/2024 06:14:01 AM Page 101 to 104 of 180 26 of 71 sheets 101 there?1 THE WITNESS: On the building, yes.2 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Are the actual gates going3 to open as a car goes up top --4 THE WITNESS: Management of that gate and how5 it'll function I don't think has been fully determined6 yet, but it is set up for that.7 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: And it has a signal on,8 audible signal as the door is opening?9 THE WITNESS: I don't know that we've gotten10 to that level of design yet.11 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Okay.12 I'm going to ask the board to make a13 recommendation there be an audible signal when the door14 opens for people outside, so somebody in a parking spot15 can hear or somebody coming up the roadway --16 MS. MCGOVERN: Exiting the garage?17 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Exiting the garage.18 MS. MCGOVERN: At each garage?19 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Each garage or maybe20 pedestrians may be walking up who left their car.21 MS. MCGOVERN: That's for exiting cars?22 CHAIRMAN BAGOFF: Exiting cars, correct.23 MR. CARDOZA: Okay. Going forward.24 The sidewalk that connects to those six25 102 spaces, when we get to the, let's see, what's that.1 Warner, we see the black mark, is that, does that2 designate striping for a crosswalk?3 THE WITNESS: Yes, so that designates, and4 actually that's Road D. Right there, the bottom of Road5 D. So that would designate on each side the handicapped6 ramp. As I said, handicapped accessible ramp and a7 pavement treatment other than macadam to designate the8 crosswalk itself.9 MR. CARDOZA: Okay. So it would be a10 crosswalk?11 THE WITNESS: It's a crosswalk.12 MR. CARDOZA: Okay. All right. And that's,13 just because I see that, you know, throughout I'm going14 to ask specific questions about each entrance and exit15 on almost every building.16 As you get to the main entrance of Building17 D -- if you go up a little bit. Okay. Keep going. So18 the main entrance where you see you have the island and19 I guess an awning. At the end of that -- so drivers20 pull up under the awning, they can let, you know,21 passengers go, they proceed and then that has the22 indication no u-turn at the end of the island. I assume23 you expect them to go up, make a U-turn somewhere or go24 up further and utilize the turn style across from the25 103 upper parking garage entrance and exit of the building?1 THE WITNESS: Yeah, so a smaller typical2 vehicle, small van, they'll actually be

24 up further and utilize the turn style across from the25 103 upper parking garage entrance and exit of the building?1 THE WITNESS: Yeah, so a smaller typical2 vehicle, small van, they'll actually be able to make the3 left. The only vehicle that would really need to go on4 is like a Sprinter van or larger van. So I don't know5 we need to specify a no U-turn at that location.6 MR. CARDOZA: Okay. So you don't expect7 U-turns at that intersection?8 THE WITNESS: I would expect that somebody's9 going to make that left, but I hate to install signs10 that just are going to be ignored, because most vehicles11 can make it. You know, a Sprinter vans not going to12 make it, somebody driving a Ford F10 may not make it,13 but most vehicles can make that turn.14 MAYOR McCARTNEY: Do you want to go back to15 the top of that because there's a loop.16 THE WITNESS: There is and for those larger17 vehicles there is the loop at the end.18 MAYOR McCARTNEY: Do you want to look at the19 top of that.20 MR. CARDOZA: Yeah. The traffic pattern21 turns up there.22 THE WITNESS: Correct.23 MR. CARDOZA: Okay.24 Can you go back down, just under the main25 104 entrance.1 So there's only a few places were I see this2 but -- scroll down a little further. Okay. So the3 central exit and entrance of the parking garage,4 sidewalk connects, there's no striping there for5 indicating pedestrians. Is that indicating a pedestrian6 crosswalk?7 THE WITNESS: We can incorporate the same8 treatment at that location.9 MR. CARDOZA: Okay.10 Can you look at the clubhouse E, the turn11 style of the clubhouse.12 MR. KLEIN: With that crosswalk you should13 probably put a stop sign too.14 THE WITNESS: I agree. And I think one of15 the comments by CME was to add stop signs and stop bars16 at locations which is part of what we would agree to.17 MR. KLEIN: Upper level exit of Building D.18 That's the upper level, lower level then the curve,19 right?20 THE WITNESS: Yes.21 MR. CARDOZA: Well, that's the middle. So22 there are three exits and entrances of Building D.23 MR. KLEIN: Two levels of parking.24 MR. CARDOZA: Oh, two levels of parking.25
