Show all pagesConference Meeting ~ January 28, 2025 The Conference meeting began at 6:40 p.m., the Municipal Clerk read the following statement: This is to inform the general public that this meeting is being held in compliance with Section 5 of the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, Public Law 1975. The notice for this meeting was emailed to the Star Ledger and the West Orange Chronicle on December 11, 2024, Roll Call — Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman Ghebremicael, Councilwoman Rudin Councilwoman Scarpa, Council President Krakoviak, West Orange Tax Assessor gave a presentation on the 2025 Revaluation. Roll Call — Councilwoman Casalino, Councilwoman Ghebremicael, Councilwoman Rudin Councilwoman Scarpa, Council President Krakoviak, Public Comment Joe Fagan - PIO Anthony Puglisi-PIO Essex County Krysta Senek — Wedgewood Drive - Revaluation Bill Rutherford — Hundt Place - Revaluation Christine Bosco — Masson Place - Revaluation Janelie Jerome — Columbia Street - Revaluation Seth Weisleder — Howell Drive - Revaluation Bill Rutherford — Hundt Place — Legal Department Sally Malanga -- Ridge Road — Street Tree Removal, Street Tree Commission Lawrence Cohen-Lincoln Avenue — Trees, Budget, Goose Control There was no one else who wished to be heard and this public comment portion of the agenda was closed. Megan Brill, Executive Director, Downtown West Orange Alliance presented the 2025 Budget on behalf of the DWOA. After the Power Point presentation, Ms. Brill, Mr. Darren Nurse, and Mr. Seth Weisleder answered questions of the Council. On motion made by Council President Krakoviak and seconded. by Councilwoman Ghebremicael, the Council voted to remove $20,000, from the DWOA Budget, line item “Community Support from W.O. Township.” All members present voting “Aye.” Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting —- None
