Subsections 7-32.3, Handicapped Parking in Municipal Parking Lots and Board of Education Property of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of West Orange is hereby supplemented and amended as follows (italic type denotes deletion, bold type denotes addition): Pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197, Municipal Plaza Parking Lot #6 is designated in part as a Handicapped Parking Area. Such spaces are for use by persons who have been issued special identification cards, plates or placards by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission or a temporary card issued by the Chief of Police. Parking Lot Parking Space(s) Time limit 6 First two stalls on the east side of the Lindsay Avenue entrance. 1 hour 6 First two stalls on the west side of the Lindsay Avenue entrance, facing south. None Section 3. If any provision of this Ordinance or application thereof, under any circumstances, is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect any other provisions or applications of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid provision(s) or application(s) and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are severable. All other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication in accordance with law and upon the approval of the New Jersey Department of Transportation if required. The Council President asked if there was anyone who wished to be heard. There was no one that wished to be heard and the public hearing on this Ordinance was closed. On motion made by Councilwoman Ghebremicael and seconded by Councilwoman Scarpa, the above referenced ordinance was approved. All members present voting “Aye.” Ordinance(s) on First Reading Ord. 2911-25 On motion made by Councilwoman Ghebremicael and seconded by Councilwoman Casalino, Capital Ordinance Appropriating $1,000,000 to Pay for Various Improvements and Upgrades to the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center in the Township of West Orange, was approved on first reading, ordered advertised according to law, to come up for second and final reading on April 22, 2025. All members present voting “Aye.”
