90-10 April 13, 2010 RESOLUTION 2010 ATHELTIC EQUIPMENT & CLOTHHING WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange Department of Recreation shall purchase sports equipment and apparel for their various athletic programs; and WHEREAS, the annual cost for such purchases could excess the Townships bid threshold of $29,000.00; and WHEREAS, the Township did advertise and received bids for the 2009 season and selected Mike Shannon Sports, 1010 Edgehill Terrance, Whippany, New Jersey 07981 to be the lowest responsible and responsive bidder; and WHEREAS, Mike Shannon Sports has satisfactorily performed during the past 12 months; and WHEREAS, the bid specifications indicated a 12 month contact to purchase Athletic Equipment and Clothing, and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15 this contract can be extended not too exceed 24 months; and WHEREAS, the extension period shall be at the same rate and terms as the prior 12 month contact. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange that the purchase of the 2010 Athletic Equipment and Clothing Bid remain with: Mike Shannon Sports 1010 Edgehill Terrace Whippany, NJ 07981 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Business Administrator is hereby authorized to arrange to pay for the foregoing in accordance with the terms of said Purchase Order on behalf of the Township of West Orange from funds available through the approved 2010 operating budget. ____________________________ ______________________ Karen J.
