68-10 - Budget Appropriation

168-10 March 23, 2010 TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE EMERGENCY TEMPORARY APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION PRIOR TO ADOPTION OF 2010 BUDGET -N.J.S. 40A:4-20 WHEREAS, an emergent condition has arisen with respect to the continued operation of the Municipality, and more apporpriations are needed to pay claims until the official budget is adopted, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2010 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose, and N.J.S.40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency temporary appropriation for the purpose above mentioned, and WHEREAS, the total temporary resolutions adopted in the year 2010 pursuant to the provision of N.J.S. 40A:4-20, Chapter 96, P.L. 1951 as amended, including this resolution total $ 22,690,845.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, (not less than two-thirds of all members, thereof affirmatively concurring) that in accordance with N.J.S. 40A:4-20, emergency temporary appropriations be and the same are hereby made for 2010 for the purpose indentified by the titles herein listed and the sums set opposite such titles: EXECUTIVE & LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT Salaries & Wages Other Expenses TOTAL Office of the Mayor $200.00 $200.00 Total Executive & Legislative $200.00 ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE Salaries & Wages Other Expenses TOTAL Central Purchasing $10,000.00 $10,000.00 Office of the Collector 4,000.00 4,000.00 Self Insurance 500,000.00 500,000.00 Total Administration & Finance $514,000.00 POLICE DEPARTMENT Salaries & Wages Other Expenses TOTAL Division of Police $25,000.00 $25,000.00 Total Police Department $25,000.00 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS Salaries & Wages Other Expenses TOTAL Buildings & Property $4,000.00 $4,000.00 Central Automotive 50,000.00 50,000.00 Street Repairs 10,000.00 10,000.00
