151-10 June 15, 2010 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The Township of West Orange Police Department has been provided with the opportunity to participate in the Over the Limit Under Arrest 2010 Statewide Crackdown Grant which is a statewide impaired driving enforcement grant program. WHEREAS, between the years of 1995 – 2005 there were 220 alcohol related fatalities in the County of Essex. WHEREAS, The State of New Jersey desires to reduce the current rate of alcohol related fatalities in the state from the current level of 34% to less than 33% through targeted impaired driving enforcement and education. WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange is eligible for $4,400.00 in the form of a reimbursement grant, meaning the department will incur the costs and then submit documentation to the state to be reimbursed. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, that the Mayor and the Township Clerk be, and hereby are, respectfully authorized to apply for this reimbursement grant award. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a true copy of the grant award will be kept on file for inspection by the public. Karen J.
