220-10 August 17, 2010 RESOLUTION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THROUGH A FAIR AND OPEN PROCESS WHEREAS, professional services that were traditionally exempt from public bidding must comply with the “New Jersey Local Unit Pay-To-Play” Law, P.L. 2004, Chapter 19(as amended by P.L. 2005,c.51); and WHEREAS, through a “Fair and Open” process described in the Local Unit Pay-To-Play Laws, N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq., the Township of West Orange can have a reserve of Professional Service Vendors that are Pay-To-Play compliant; and WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent did advertise in both the newspaper on July 9, 2010 and on the Township Web Site for such Professional Services; and WHEREAS, on the submission date advertised, various companies did respond and the list is attached as part of this resolution. NOW LET IT BE RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the attached list of vendors can be considered for service when required and with proper resolution during the 6 month period of September 1, 2010 through February 28, 2011. LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Township Purchasing Agent has reviewed Professional Service submissions for compliance and will keep originals on file for review. ______________________________ _________________________ Karen J.
