251-10 September 28, 2010 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS , the Township of West Orange through its consultant G.C. Stewart Associates of Essex Fells, New Jersey designed Parking Lot Improvements for the Valley Road Parking Lot located south of the intersection of Main Street, Northfield Avenue and Valley Road; and WHEREAS, the design plans include decorative parking lot lighting which will be provided and installed by Public Service Electric and Gas Company; and WHEREAS, Public Service requires the Township enter into an Agreement with Public Service for the cost of poles and the installation of the same including the light fixtures; and WHEREAS, the cost for these material and construction services to be provided by Public Service is $41,171.16; and WHEREAS, to complete the project as designed the Township Engineer recommends the Township enter into an Agreement with Public Service Electric & Gas; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that the Township Council authorizes entering into an Agreement with Public Service Electric and Gas Company in the amount of $40,901.16 and the Township Engineer and Township Purchasing Agent are authorized to sign the Service Agreement and issue a Purchase Order in the amount of $40,901.16 for the decorative parking lot lighting at the Valley Road Parking Lot.
