291-10 November 23, 2010 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS , the Township of West Orange awarded a contract to Shauger Property Services, Inc., having its principal place of business at 429 Dodd Street, East Orange, New Jersey 07017 for West Orange High School Bleacher and Storage Installation at the football field, 51 Conforti Avenue, West Orange, New Jersey 07052; and WHEREAS, the Township Council by Resolution No. 76-10 dated March 23, 2010 awarded a contract for a lump sum bid of $1,083,379.71, which sum includes alternate bids 1, 2 & 3; and WHEREAS, alternate bid No. 1 in the amount of $111,396.89 for the installation of an all weather track system BSS-200 surface at the existing “D” Zone on field was previously approved; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 dated June 29, 2010 in the amount of $21,441.00 was previously approved; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 dated October 5, 2010 in the amount of $19,770.91 for Change Order Proposals No. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 & 11 is hereby added to the contract sum of $1,083,379.71 and Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $21,441.00 increasing total construction costs to $1,124,591.62; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer and the West Orange Board of Education recommend that this Change Order as being necessary and beneficial; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing; and NOW THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED, by the Township Council of West Orange that Change Order No. 2 with Shauger Property Services, Inc., in the amount of $19,770.91 for the Change Order Proposals at the West Orange High School Football Field are hereby approved and the Township Council further authorizes the Mayor to execute Change Order No. 2 dated October 5, 2010.
