309-10 November 23, 2010 R E S O L U T I O N Essex County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2010– Reprogramming Application WHEREAS, certain Federal funding will potentially be available for Essex County under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended and supplemented, which Act is commonly known and referred to as the Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”); and WHEREAS, the 2010 Reprogramming Application is available under the Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”); and WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange has a need and desire to submit applications under in order to improve essential services to the residents of areas which qualify for assistance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, authorizes, on behalf of the Township of West Orange, the submission of the attached applications known as Whittlesey Avenue Street Road Improvements for funding of $378,000.00; William Street Street Road Improvements for funding of $70,000.00; Ridge Avenue Street Road Improvements for funding of $59,000.00; Cherry Street Street Road Improvements for funding of $44,000.00;Chestnut Street Street Road Improvements for funding of $49,000.00 under the Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) 2010 Reprogramming as aforementioned ;and it is further RESOLVED, that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the aforementioned applications for submission; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Municipal Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to the Mayor’s signature on the aforementioned applications.
