TYPES OF SOIL Based on the Essex County soils survey information, the soil types native to the site include: CUMBERLAND COUNTY SOIL SURVEY INFORMATION SOIL TYPE HYDROLOGIC SOIL TYPE (NAME) (SYMBOL) SOIL GROUP Urban Land, Boonton Substratum-Boonton complex, 0 to 8 USBONB percent slopes BogCe Boonton loam, 8 to 15 percent slopes, extremely stony Cc HanBe Haledon silt loam, 0 to 8 percent slopes, extremely stony ( Yalesville-Boonton-Holyoke complex, 0 to 8 percent slopes, YaobBe Cc extremely stony Boonton-Urban land, Boonton substratum complex, red BowrB c sandstone lowland, 0 to 8 percent slopes YaohEh Yalesville-Holyoke complex, 35 to 60 percent slopes, very rocky | C B. TOPOGRAPHY Existing site elevations range significantly between approximately 632.0 feet at the western-most portion of the site, sloping down to approximately 510.0 feet at the east corner of the site. The existing topography throughout the subject parcel contains significant topographic change and abuts a rock cliff face to the east. The area of development contains primarily slopes of 0 to 10 percent, however, there are isolated regions reaching over 25 percent slope. The undeveloped areas on the eastern portion of the site reach upwards of 50 percent slope. C. GEOLOGY According to the Report of Preliminary Geotechnical and Stormwater Basin Area Investigation, prepared by Dynamic Earth, LLC, the subject site is located in a region of the Piedmont Physiographic Province of New Jersey known as the Newark Basin. The Newark Basin contains rocks of the Newark Super Group and Brunswick Group which is a stratigraphic series of Triassic to Jurassic age igneous and sedimentary rocks containing intrusive sills and dikes as well as extrusive volcanics.
