Show all pagesTraffic Impact Study Proposed Continuing Care Retirement Community – West Orange Construction Traffic Analysis In order to ensure that the roadway operating conditions will also be acceptable during the construction process, the magnitude of peak hour construction related traffic was estimated and compared to the projected peak hour trip generation of the full development buildout. Trip generation projections for the construction traffic were developed based on consultations with the Applicant and are as follows: • It is estimated that a maximum of 4-5 material deliveries will occur during either peak hour. Therefore, it was conservatively assumed that 5 entering trips and 5 exiting trips will occur during each peak hour for deliveries. • Subcontractors will not park directly on-site, but rather will take a shuttle from an off-site parking location. It is estimated that 8-10 shuttles will be needed. Therefore, it was conservatively assumed that 10 entering trips and 10 exiting trips will occur during each peak hour for the shuttles. • It is estimated that 8-10 supervisory workers will park directly on-site. Therefore, it was conservatively assumed that 10 workers will enter during the morning peak hour and 10 workers will exit during the afternoon peak hour. The following Table VII compares the construction related trips to the site generated trips for the full development buildout. Therefore, the results and conclusions noted previously for the Future Build capacity analysis
ected that the magnitude of construction traffic will surpass that of the projected site generated trips. Therefore, the results and conclusions noted previously for the Future Build capacity analysis are also valid for operating conditions during the construction process, as it more than accounts for the projected construction traffic.
