Show all pagesJanuary 17, 2023 File No. 26.0092704.00 PSE&G – West Orange Station Page 3 Other than the thin (1’) sandy layer directly above the bedrock in Test Pit 201, all other soil permeability tests were in relatively fine grained soils and indicated very slow permeability rates and are considered restrictive and not conducive to infiltration. Note that a single ring and laboratory tube permeameter test performed Proactive by Design in Test Pit 201 at a depth of 4 feet were omitted as the results did not appear consistent with the loam soils encountered at this level and appeared to be in disturbed materials. Based on the results of the additional testing, it does not appear that the natural soils above the rock are conducive to infiltration.
