PSE&G West Orange Switching Station West Orange, NJ Stormwater Management Report Section V: Soil Erosion and Sediment Control During construction, the potential for soil erosion and sedimentation will be controlled through the use of temporary soil erosion and sediment control measures. This will include silt fencing, straw bale barriers and stabilized construction entrances. The soil erosion and sediment control plan is shown on Drawing No. 331311 entitled “Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Plan.” Erosion and sediment control notes are included on Drawing No. 3313310 entitled “Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Notes and Details”. The soil erosion and sediment control measures will minimize the downstream erosion hazard by controlling runoff at its source, minimize runoff from disturbed areas and de concentrate stormwater runoff. Section VI: Conclusion The West Orange Switching Station Expansion Project will disturb approximate 10.3 acres of land located within the existing switching station pad and transmission line ROW. It is TRC’s professional opinion that the proposed improvements to the site have been designed in accordance with these requirements and can be constructed without negatively impacting offsite drainage characteristics.
