Cascade Design Summary West Essex Highlands West Orange Twp, NJ 8/26/24 Information provided by Engineer: • Presiding Agency = NJDEP • TSS Removal Required = 50% Sizing Summary: The Cascade Separator is a hydrodynamic separator designed to protect waterways from stormwater runoff. The Cascade Separator is commonly used as a standalone stormwater quality control practice that provides pretreatment to detention, infiltration, bioretention, and rainwater harvesting systems. This innovative treatment product excels at sediment capture and retention while also removing hydrocarbons, trash, and debris from the stormwater runoff. The Cascade Separator is NJCAT verified and as a result has received final certification from the NJDEP for 50% TSS removal. For this project, each Cascade Separator was designed to treat the water quality design storm.
