3.3 Impervious Area Management New impervious surfaces at a development site can have the greatest adverse effect on groundwater recharge and stormwater quality and quantity. This section of the checklist helps identify those nonstructural strategies and LID-BMPs that have been incorporated into a proposed development’s design to comprehensively manage the extent and impacts of new impervious surfaces.
