Show all pages138-18 May 22, 2018 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange received a grant and loan in the amount of $45,525.00 and $136,575.00 respectively from the Green Acres Program of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for a Multi Park Development at Lafayette Park and Degnan Park; and WHEREAS, by letter dated April 18, 2018 the Municipal Engineer requested a proposal from Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., 96 US Highway 206, Suite 101, Flanders, New Jersey 07835 and PS&S, 211 Warren Street, Suite 209, Newark, New Jersey 07103; and WHEREAS, both Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. and PS&S were responsive to the Request for Proposals; and WHEREAS, Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. submitted a proposal dated May 3, 2018 to provide design phase services for a fee not to exceed $11,675.00; and WHEREAS, PS&S submitted a proposal dated May 4, 2018 to provide design phase services for a fee not to exceed $26,300.00; and WHEREAS, Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. supplemented their proposal with an amendment to provide ten (10) additional bid sets for a fee of $1,000.00; and WHEREAS, both Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., and PS&S were responsive to the Request for Proposals; and WHEREAS, the proposals of Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. are satisfactory to the Municipal Engineer; and WHEREAS, Suburban Consulting Engineers responded to the Township's Request for Qualifications for Professional Services; and WHEREAS, the Municipal Engineer by letter dated May 16, 2018 recommends awarding a Professional Services Contract to Suburban Consulting Engineers; and
