2550-18 LEGISLATIVE HISTORY The Ordinance, which amends the Traffic Regulations of the Township, designates the intersections of Overlook Avenue and Ridgeview Avenue and Ferris Avenue and Stanford Avenue as Stop Intersections with a Stop Sign to be placed on Ridgeview Avenue, the minor street, and a stop sign to be placed on Stanford Avenue, the minor street. The intersections are both tee intersections. Due to volume of traffic which travels on Overlook Avenue and Ferris Drive the Township’s Engineering Division determined that traffic needed to be regulated at the intersections for the safe movement of traffic. Without Stop Signs on Ridgeview Avenue and Stanford Avenue, the normal right-of-way rule is not expected to provide a reasonably safe operation of these intersections.
