Show all pages112-13 WHEREAS, an emergent condition has arisen with respect to the continued operation of the Municipality, and more apporpriations are needed to pay tax appeal claims, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2013 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose, and N.J.S.40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency temporary appropriation for the purpose above mentioned, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, (not less than two-thirds of all members, thereof affirmatively concurring) that in accordance with N.J.S. 40A:4-20, emergency temporary appropriation resolution 7-13 be amended for 2013 for the purpose indentified by the titles herein listed below and the sums set opposite such titles: 2013 EMERGENCY TEMPORARY APPROPRIATIONS BELOW IS HEREBY MADE PART OF THIS RESOLUTION Tax Appeals $2,500,000.00 Karen J. Carnevale Victor Cirilo Municipal Clerk Council President TOWNSHIP OF WEST ORANGE AMENDMENT TO THE EMERGENCY TEMPORARY APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION 7-13 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING EMINENT TAX APPEALS PRIOR TO ADOPTION OF 2013 BUDGET -N.J.S. 40A:4-20 WHEREAS, THE Township of West Orange Council adoted Resolution 7-13 on January 8, 2013 setting aside $1,000,000.00 Tax Appeals pursuant to N.J.S.40A:4-20 ; and WHEREAS, subsequently Judgements have been received by the Tax Collector totaling $1,983,871.29 to be refunded to Township property owners; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated there will be additional judgements awarded to Township property owners during the year 2013;
