Show all pages121-13 June 11, 2013 RESOLUTION WHEREAS , the Township of West Orange desires to provide athletic field lighting improvements at the West Orange High School, Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field, Conforti Avenue and Carteret Street; and WHEREAS , the Township has used lighting equipment manufactured by Musco Sports Lighting. LLC of Oskaloosa, Iowa at other outdoor sports facilities including tennis courts, baseball and softball fields and soccer fields; and WHEREAS , to facilitate Boards of Education and government agencies, including municipalities, to purchase sports lighting equipment without the need to prepare plans, specifications and public bid documents, Musco Sports Lighting, LLC provided pricing to a National Cooperative Purchasing Network known as the Keystone Purchasing Network (KPN) in Pennsylvania; and WHEREAS , New Jersey Municipalities and Boards of Education may join the KPN; and WHEREAS , Musco Sports Lighting, LLC provided the Township of West Orange with the following price quotation valid through February 28, 2014: Track and Football Field Lighting, 50 Footcandles Average Maintained Level Four precast concrete bases Two 70 foot long galvanized steel poles Two 80 foot long galvanized steel poles Remote electrical component enclosure s Pole length wire harnesses 48 factory aimed and assembled luminaires $146,734.00 WHEREAS , the Township advertised for bids for lighting improvements for the Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field which required the bidder to provide a total installation cost including equipment and a deduct for lighting equipment purchased by the Township through the Keystone Purchasing Network; and WHEREAS , the Municipal Engineer and the Township Purchasing Agent reviewed the costs associated with the purchase of lighting equipment through the KPN; and
