WHEREAS , both the Municipal Engineer and the Purchasing Agent determined the pricing through the KPN will result in a lower project cost than if the low bidder for the project supplied the lighting equipment; and WHEREAS , the Township complied with the State requirements for purchasing through National Cooperatives including cost savings over the competitive bid process, compliance with “fair and open” criteria and published a Notice of Intent to Award a Contract under a National Cooperative Purchasing Agreement; and WHEREAS , the Municipal Engineer recommends awarding a contract to Musco Sports Lighting, LLC to supply sports lighting equipment for the Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field, West Orange High School, and WHEREAS , this equipment will be installed by a contractor who is awarded the contract for West Orange High School, Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field Lighting Improvements by a Resolution of the West Orange Township Council; and WHEREAS , the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange that a contract to supply sports lighting equipment for West Orange High School, Joseph Soriano Track and Football Field, Conforti Avenue and Carteret Street, be awarded to Musco Sports Lighting, LLC, 100 1st Avenue W, Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577-3244 in accordance with the attached proposal for a 50 footcandle maintained light level for an amount not to exceed $146,734.00.
