53-22 March 15,2022 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Township of West Orange proposes 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project for improvements of Mitchell Street — from Valley Road to the Limits with the City of Orange; and WHEREAS, to design and specify these improvements the Township requires the services of a professional engineering firm and land surveying firm; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer prepared a Request for Proposals dated February 11, 2022 for these professional design services; and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer solicited a proposal from six professional engineering and land surveying firms; and. WHEREAS, Greenman - Pedersen, Inc., responded to the Request for Proposal; and WHEREAS, Greenman — Pedersen, Inc. have performed similar work for the Township on several projects and their work quality is very good; and WHEREAS, by letter dated March 8, 2022 the Township Engineer recommended a professional services contract be awarded to Greenman — Pedersen, Inc., 301 Gibraltar Drive, Suite 2A, Morris Plains, NJ for a complete bid package including design plans, specifications and bid documents; and WHEREAS, Greenman - Pedersen, Inc. responded to the Township’s Request for Qualifications for Professional Services for 2022; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds exist for the services outlined in the proposal of Greenman — Pedersen Inc.; and WHEREAS, the Township Council concurs in the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of West Orange, New Jersey that a professional services contract be awarded to Greenman - Pedersen, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for the 2020 Community Development Block Grant Project for Mitchell Street — from Valley Road to the Limits with the City of Orange in the amount of $16,800.00.
