Involved with the development of the Urban and Community Forestry Program and working with municipalities to meet all components necessary for Approved Status. Currently working on Tree Inventorying the Boroughs of Oakland and Riverdale to satisfy NJ Urban and Community Forestry Stewardship Grant. Project Descriptions: ® Cool Cities Initiative: Tree Planting in low Forest Canopy areas in NJ Municipalities to reduce heat island effect and flooding. Entire areas to be tree planted were surveyed for existing trees, hazardous trees, and tree planting locations. This data was stored using City Green Software, compiled into a spreadsheet, and inputted into software for energy savings and environmental impact. @ Asian Longhorn Beetle and Emerald Ash Borer projects: Shade Tree inventory conducted for trees as well as for pest. Tree planting locations were gathered for areas of tree removal from hazardous and infested trees. *® Hazardous Tree Survey was performed in Municipalities after Superstorm Sandy.
